HWPL and Georgia Peace Camp, a precious step toward the peace

14th and 23rd of February, Georgian stuedents came to korea to participate in the peace camp, which is held by HWPL in korea.
they experienced lots of programs regarding the peace and understanding of different cultures. it includes field trip to Yongsan War Memorial, Group Sports, Sharing their traditional foods and mini WARP summit.

The Georgian students, who quite recently experienced the pain of conflicts because of 'Russo-Goergian War', deeply moved by those activities and told that they came to understand the true meaning of peace and cooperation.

Here's the picture of the peace camp. I also thought of importance of peace education that HWPL initiates after reading the article about their acts. thinking of the education that I underwent during the old days, I feel like it is no use just teaching the meaning and importance of peace through only textbooks. we really need some experiences and activities related to war and peace. Hope HWPL shows the good results of their practice and gives insight to those who are in charge of education. Viva HWPL!
